This is because, shopping websites tend to include a short product description and not much else in regards to quality content. Unless you are a huge mega store with lots of authority, that just won’t do. Yes, content is still king, but if you don’t have the other essential SEO components in shape on your website, you will be leaving money on the table. If you don’t know how to do SEO, then read up on it, research it or find someone who does know and hire them.
This is such an important ranking factor that you cannot afford to dismiss it. SEO is vital for your rankings, so include it in your budget and make sure it gets done.
Work with your developer:
If you don’t know how to write content, design a quality website or perform SEO – ask your developer. Website developers have spent years learning and honing their skills. Build a user-friendly mobile compatible website:
If your website is more than 5 years old – you seriously need a new website for your business. If your website is not mobile compatible you seriously need to make it so.
This is sure to be something that you have already thought about, because you have seen other more up-to-date sites and have realised that your website needs a shot in the arm.
So do it – find a good developer and have them design and build you a website that is perfect for your business. This is an investment that will pay for itself, time and time again.
Look for a designer / developer that has a good portfolio of work, plenty of good references and can speak your language so you can get the best results from your new site.
